Wind-Down of Payconiq International S.A.’s payment activities and intention to renounce its Payment Institution authorisation
Payconiq International S.A. (“Payconiq”), having its registered office at 9-11 rue Joseph Junck, L-1839 Luxembourg, and company registration number B 169621, is currently registered in Luxembourg as a payment institution (PI) under the supervision of the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF).
As previously announced in our press release of January 2026, Payconiq has transferred its merchant portfolio to Buckaroo B.V. as of January 2026 and Payconiq payments are migrating to Wero in 2026. In this context, the Board of Directors of Payconiq has decided to wind down Payconiq’s payment activities and operations and to renounce its payment institution authorisation. The Board of Directors of Payconiq expects this renunciation to become effective during the second half of 2026, subject to the completion of all applicable regulatory and operational steps.
Payconiq will conduct this wind-down process in a controlled and responsible manner, ensuring continuity and the appropriate treatment of stakeholders throughout.
