The study aims at highlighting why and how banks should leverage credit transfer systems in order to maintain control over payment flows even though card networks have launched their own digital wallet solutions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gartner is a world leading information technology research and advisory company. It delivers the technology-related insight necessary for its clients to make the right decisions every day. For tens of thousands of technology professionals, <strong>Gartner Research is a key resource for their day-to-day work and decision making processes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The company recently published a research paper entitled \u201cDigital Wallets Lead Banks to Battle Card Schemes\u201d. The research was led by three of Gartner\u2019s analysts &#8211; Christophe Uzureau, Alistair Newton, David Furlonger \u2013 and deals with digital wallet strategy for banks. They point out that \u201c<strong><em>The use of credit transfer systems to develop online bank-enabled payment and the development of retail real-time payment solutions encourage the development of more bank-centric digital wallet models<\/em><\/strong><em>\u201d<\/em>.
